Thanksgiving #2: Countdown

It's like a marathon; you gotta pace yourself! Friday
  • Thaw turkey in refrigerator
Saturday
  • Review recipes
  • Figure out wine
  • Make grocery list
  • Put away stuff you won’t use
  • Find the stuff you will use (like turkey baster I use once a year)
  • Now’s the time for ironing table linen & polishing stemware & silverware (if you’re into that kind of thing)

Sunday

  • Finish the stuff from Saturday

Monday

  • Finish the stuff from Saturday and Sunday
  • Clean rest of house

Tuesday

AM

  • Last run for groceries

PM

  • Cube and dry bread for dressing
  • Make pie dough
  • Brine turkey
  • Make stock for gravy
  • Thaw truffle butter

Wednesday AM

  • Air-dry turkey
  • Set out all baking ingredients
  • Make pie
  • Prep veggies for dressing
  • Prep most veggies & herbs
  • Make pastry cream

PM

Thursday Dinner @2!!! AM

  • Continue rolls
  • 7:00 Make & bake dressing
  • 8:00 Make cranberry sauce (put backup can in refrigerator)
  • 10:30 Prep turkey
  • 11-1 Bake turkey
